The finely layered calm water sediments speak for themselves , and MRO's instruments also detected clay and other wet environment minerals , researchers report in Geology . They also assert that lake lasted long enough to be a potentially habitable environment. This puts Holden hugh on the list of candidate sites for landing NASA's Mars Science Laboratory in 2010.
