The Daily Telegraph's man at Climate Camp tells how
George Monbiot motivates the camp
"George Monbiot urged us all to act before it is too late
George Monbiot is all our movement has for a hero nowadays. His factual knowledge about the science behind climate change is outstanding,
He announced for the first time that the IPCC's estimate that we would have to cut global carbon emissions by 90% was probably optimistic and that research done by NASA indicates that it may have to be 100% or even 110%.
110%! No one could put a good shine on that statistic. One feels that we are living in the last days of Rome's Glory,"

I recently had an HVAC contractor try to sell me an electrostatic filter "that would remove 110% of the particulate" from my air. We are now seeing the effects of sportswriters' interviews with football coaches and players.

Whatever is responsible for this effect (and I don't put most of it at the feet of sportswriters), I do wish they'd stop.
As sad as that fan's enthusiasm is, even worse is that if he is not already, he will soon be a voter.
